Dwayne Horner became a conservative at the age of 10 when he joined the "Reagan Revolution" in 1980. As a contributor to The East Texan, the campus newspaper of East Texas State University, Dwayne was a Conservative weekly columnist that generated buzz unlike the paper has seen and quite a long time. During the early Clinton years,Dwayne was an outspoken critic of "Slick Willie."
After years of volunteering on campaigns Dwayne went into broadcasting and then transition to becoming a professional political operative for candidates who were on the conservative side of the spectrum. This included gubernatorial and congressional candidates as well as a staunch conservative for county commissioner.
During his time with Salem communications, Dwayne was at the forefront of "blogging" at Townhall.com and a contributor to Townhall magazine.
Dwayne Horner has been recognized as one of the top field operatives in the state of Texas by the Dallas Morning News and has developed relationships with leaders in the conservative movement.
Dwayne also contributes to the cause of America's Constitution & veterans / first responders, serving on the board of multiple recognized charities in honor of his late father, Charles, W. Horner who served in the United States Navy, both in Korea and Vietnam. In fact, he has sic uncles who have served in either the Navy, Marine Corps, or United States Air Force.
